Biographical Sketch: Andrea Miner-Isaacson, Ph.D.
Andrea Miner Isaacson, the co-founder of Full Circle Solutions, has more than 36 years of experience working with business owners and corporate executives, helping them with interpersonal effectiveness and relationship-building, communications skills, stress management, and work-life balance.
As a psychologist, Andrea’s main focus is helping clients be successful and get what they want, both at work and at home. Direct communications, coupled with powerful relationship-building strategies, are the keys to business and personal success. Her major interests include women and leadership, and the challenges facing single women.
Andrea’s business experience includes work as a district manager with Arbonne, an environmentally friendly, personal care products company, helping women develop their own franchise businesses and building their teams. Previously, she was a department manager at a Philadelphia-area psychiatric hospital. In both these companies, she stressed executive and personal coaching as ways to a more productive and involved workforce.
“It’s taking psychology into the work setting,” she says. “My mission is the same whether it’s a consultation room or a business setting.”
She is a faculty member at Drexel University (in Philadelphia), and has taught courses or trained for Saint Joseph’s University, the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, and the Women’s Resource Center.
A native of Southern California, Andrea entered the world of psychology by accident. When she moved with her family to the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. at age 16, she found the change very difficult.
Her mother, unable to get a job teaching because of different certification requirements, was working in a youth crisis center. “She would talk about what they did and it sounded interesting,” Andrea recalls. She began volunteering herself and was hooked.
Andrea now works as a psychologist, executive coach, management trainer, academic, and behavioral health specialist. Her company is located in Narberth, PA, in the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia.
“There’s a way of having satisfying work in the context of your larger life,“ she says. “You don’t have to be miserable for 40 or 50 hours a week just so you can pay your mortgage. I want to see work settings be more productive and human environments.”
